Industrial measurement technology

Many of FORTecH Software GmbH's projects involve the acquisition, evaluation, visualisation and storage of measurement data. Such projects are usually long-term and are often accompanied throughout the entire life cycle, from requirements analysis, design and development to support. The software is often divided into device firmware and PC-supported operating and configuration software.

Our competences include

  • Control of customised hardware (processors based on x86, SHx and ARM, DSPs, FPGAs, various microcontrollers) \- Communication (TCP; UDP, USB, Modbus, CAN, LIN, I²C, SPI, MIPI CSI, proprietary protocols) between device and PC
  • Monitoring, evaluation and archiving of measurement data in accordance with international and national standards (ISO, DIN, GOST, GPA)
  • PC control software for configuring the measurement process and user-friendly visualisation of measurement data 
  • Operating system support for the device (Windows Embedded Compact, Linux, customisation, development and logging infrastructure, boot loader, flash file system, etc.)
  • Implementation of complex firmware update scenarios including the migration of settings
  • Cryptographic protection of system integrity and user authentication as well as traceable logging of changes to device settings

  • Operation and monitoring of the distributed control system for beam operation of the 25m tandem van den Graff accelerator at the Maier-Leibnitz Laboratory in Garching
  • Calibratable component and calorific value determination of natural gas on autonomously running gas chromatographs
  • Production data acquisition in hospital laundries to fulfil the documentation requirements for medical products
  • Data storage and reference data generation for acoustic quality control of vehicle transmissions
  • Component determination of gas mixtures with NIR spectrometers
  • Fast optical 3D quality control of small injection moulded parts in free fall to detect burrs and incorrect volumes
  • Measurement of the light field of vehicle headlights
