Windows CE

Windows CE (TM) from Microsoft is a real-time operating system for embedded devices. It provides a real alternative to other real-time operating system (RTOS) found on the market. Windows CE is scalable from a minimal system with a size of a few 100 KB up to a full-scale system with a graphical user interface in a range of several megabytes.

We use Windows CE successfully in Industrial Measurement. Many solutions, such as the MicroSAM, manage without an integrated graphic user interface, but require compliance with real-time requirements, must communicate through a variety of interfaces and guarantee high availability and long term stability.
